It's been a while, I won't deny it. After Katrina, I just haven't been able, or have the time to update on DA, and I've rarely had time to do art.

But I haven't given up on cosplay!

As for past upsets... when you see what looks like the end of civilization as you know it dropped on your doorstep in a twisted parody of Dorothy stepping out of the House, you realize that small things don't matter... and the wonderful things in life... like Starbucks, people, fresh food, and air conditioning... should have that energy poured into appreciating a LOT more!

Kinda like snapping a whole new perspective like a rubberband.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is my focus is on the future, and seeing how I can make things better, and try to help with the Cosplay community out here.

The past, like so many things, can be blown away like the wind and only our memories remain. And those, can be tucked into a book and stuck on a shelf to be forgotten.

Now, I'm the Admin Tech at a medical facility, pay is good, only work 4 day weeks, and I'm learning TONS about homeopathic medicine and biochemistry.

It's interesting and fun stuff, and the girls I work with... although REAL girly, are a zany bunch.

On the brighter side of things, I've fallen in love with Mechacon and all the people who make it possible, and fun! From the guys who run it and make it the warmest Con in the US, to the other artists like Misty, Weaslejuice, and Fuu who put their hearts into the Con and the forums... it's a wonderful synergy of goals and skills that are further nurtured by the ol Southern Hospitality.

One of the main reasons I dug out and dusted off this old relic of an account is for a brilliant project headed up by hatterrenoaxel at [link] , which I stumbled across purely by random chance.

Being a Hojo fan, myself, I was looking up some Hojo zaniness on google and, lo and behold, she has a fun page brimming with cosplay fun, literary tidbits, and a radio show in the works. Not to mention Xigbar and other Orgy13 craziness.

I'll be getting some stuff together and popping up some things I've been sitting on... most of it cosplay, some of it commercial illustration/ ad work.
